India and China have signaled fresh stability in their ties as Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited New Delhi for talks with NSA Ajit Doval and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. Both sides stressed reducing tensions at the Line of Actual Control, noting that the border has remained calmer over the past nine months. Doval said the Kazan meeting between PM Modi and President Xi had given “a new direction,” while Wang Yi welcomed Modi’s visit to China for the upcoming SCO summit.
